One of Gionee's unusual smartphone Marathon M5 is out, it comes with a massive battery that should according to them provide users with many days of continuous usage. Apart from this the rest of the phone's specs i believe are standard for a mid-range device not minding they seem to have overpriced a little by
Gionee. The smartphone was just launched in China for 2,999 yuan which is ($345) or N83490 outright,
which is quite a lot if you ask me judging by the phones specs.
The phone will also be available in India from today though they are yet to confirm how the phone will be ship to other country, but i believe before the week runs out its should be available in Nigeria. And before i forget they (Gionee) promise to make the device available in three colors options (black, gold, and white).

But the main selling point of the phone is the massive 6,020mAh battery, which they said can last up to 62 hours of standby time when it's just %5 charged. On getting the phone don't be surprised if you find two batteries inside, reason been that Gionee decided to split the huge 6,020 battery inside Marathon into two that is 3,010mAh batteries that charge at the same time.
Apart from that Gionee Marathon M5's battery can as well be used as a power-bank for other device, and features dual charging chips. Gionee Marathon M5 comes well equipped with a 64-bit 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a Mali-T760 graphics processing unit, and coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Gionee Marathon M5 comes with 16GB of internal memory storage which can be expanded up yo 64GB
via microSD card slot. Built with a large 5.5-inch AMOLED plus capacitive touchscreen display which support HD (720p) resolution on the back, and packs a 13-megapixel camera with a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
And last but not least, Gionee Marathon M5 is ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and support Amigo UI 3.1 on top.
