Well it seems that leaks on
the upcoming OnePlus 3 continue to surface, with the latest showing off
hardware specs of the smartphone. Renowned leakster Evan Blass @evleaks posted an image with the hardware specifications which include the Snapdragon 820 chipset and Android N.
Yesterday, Blass shared an image allegedly captured on an OnePlus 3
smartphone that ran Android N developer build. Today, an official
source from OnePlus stated that the company’s flagship phone will launch
on June 14, according to @krispitech.
Considering the rumored launch date, it’s likely that the OnePlus 3 will be running the still-unnamed Android N OS.
The image with hardware specs suggests that the
OnePlus 3 might be coming with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset. It
should also have 64GB of storage and 16MP rear camera. The OnePlus 3
will also include a NFC chip, unlike the OnePlus 2. Battery capacity should reach 3500 mAh.
Speaking of camera capabilities, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau showed off the 8MP front camera in a selfie, thus releasing the first image snapped with the OnePlus 3 front-facing camera.
OnePlus 3 might come in two variants
OnePlus 3 should also come with a 5.5-inch display
running at 1080 x 1920 pixels and the smartphone might have an all
premium metal build. Rumors suggest that the phone might come in two
variants, one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the
other could have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
The upcoming OnePlus 3 might be priced between $300 and $400, just like its predecessors, but that has yet to be confirmed.
One thing is for sure, OnePlus 3 will be launched a
few days after the Loop VR headsets reach consumers, as shipments are
set to start on June 6. This would mean that June 14 is highly likely
the official launch date.
The Loop VR headsets will allow users to access the virtual reality space station that OnePlus created precisely for the launch and purchase OnePlus 3 smartphones directly from VR.
